AraCoS is part of PROKAMUS. Its main objective is to develop a general corpus of Modern Standard Arabic, which is being designed for compiling a new Arabic-Malay/Malay-Arabic dictionary. The total number of words available now is nearly 30 million.

We experimented over several years with various tools and finally generated AraCoS. It can be used as a source of authentic material for TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language), translation and lexicography. It will provide material for conducting linguistic research and studying the main features of the different genres.

Here are some samples (of arabic prepositions) have been included for academic and research purposes. The samples were stored in Excel and Access databases.
